Mission accomplished in Benslimane.<\/strong> After several weeks of deployment in the field, our teams and engineers have finalized the installation of smart ticketing systems and CAD\/AVL (Computer-Aided Dispatch \/ Automatic Vehicle Location) aboard the new buses in the city of Benslimane. The network is now fully operational: on-board electronic ticketing, real-time fleet tracking, and passenger information thanks to TarikGo<\/strong>, our next-generation ticketing and mobility application. With this deployment, Somayar<\/a> confirms its position as a leading player in bus ticketing and CAD\/AVL\/PIS systems in Morocco<\/a>, in a city set to play a prominent role on the international stage.<\/p>\n

Benslimane, a city in full transformation<\/h2>\n

Long perceived as a simple buffer zone between Casablanca and Rabat, the province of Benslimane is now establishing itself as one of the most dynamic territories in the Kingdom. Its strategic geographical location, at the heart of the country's busiest axis, makes it a natural bridge between the two metropolises and much more.<\/p>\n

Benslimane is preparing to enter world sports history: the city will host the Grand Stade Hassan II<\/strong>, set to become the largest stadium in the world, ahead of the 2030 World Cup<\/strong> co-hosted by Morocco, Spain, and Portugal. As reported by the daily newspaper Aujourd\u2019hui le Maroc<\/a>, the province is already developing a Sustainable Urban and Interurban Mobility Plan (PMUID) to address a dual challenge: managing the exceptional passenger flows associated with the World Cup and laying the foundations of an integrated, sustainable mobility system for its 230,000 residents. Equipping the bus network of such a city is a responsibility we take very seriously.<\/p>\n

On an institutional level, the province has also equipped itself with a new governance tool: the Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 d\u2019Am\u00e9nagement et de Transport de la Province de Benslimane (SATPB)<\/strong>, a local development company established in April 2026, as revealed by TelQuel<\/a>. This institutional vehicle now drives urban development and transport in the province, with clear goals regarding service quality and performance.<\/p>\n

A deployment integrated into the 2025\u20132029 national program<\/h3>\n

The modernization of the Benslimane network is part of the vast 2025\u20132029 national urban bus transport program, backed by nearly 11 billion dirhams. According to Le360<\/a>, Benslimane is among the urban areas in the very first phase of this program, alongside Tangier, Tetouan, Fez, Rabat, Marrakech, and Agadir\u2014a phase that provides for 1,487 new buses and explicitly covers \u201cthe acquisition of ticketing systems and Computer-Aided Dispatch \/ Passenger Information Systems (CAD\/AVL\/PIS)\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This is precisely the mission that Somayar has just accomplished in Benslimane: equipping the new network, operated by Foughal Bus Benslimane<\/a>, with a complete technological chain, operational from the very first day of service.<\/p>\n

Regular passengers benefit from options tailored to each profile: unlimited-access student pass, a flagship product in Benslimane, where Foughal Bus offers a dedicated student card<\/a>, civil servant pass, prepaid card with a configurable number of trips, and multi-line pass.<\/p>\n

The Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD\/AVL) system<\/a> centralizes all fleet operational data: GPS location of each bus, compliance with routes and schedules, automatic station detection with trip changes, and tracking of arrivals and departures at stops via the synoptic view. The operator has complete, real-time visibility over operations and can take action before incidents impact passengers.<\/p>\n

The system is completed by destination display management, automatic voice announcements upon arrival at stations, remote supervision of all on-board terminals, and a comprehensive reporting module: revenue by line, bus, and period, occupancy rates, and break-even thresholds. Everything integrates natively with our GPS geolocation platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n
